There is no denying that Billy and I are suckers for Nordic design. It’s engaging, bold, simple – we’ll stop there before we start rambling. When Danish studio Make approached Designed Space we were more than thrilled. As a brand agency aiming for clear communication and brand distinction, Make approaches each project focused on business and the customer response. The studio, naturally lit and open floor plan, brings a sense of friendly collaboration. I find the conference room with white walls and circular black lamps quite striking. It probably has roots to my obsession with baby grand pianos.
Det Informationsvidenskabelige Akademi / IVA or The Royal School of Library and Information Science (English translation) commissioned Make to develop a new direction for the institute. Utilizing the history of the Fibonacci symbol, Make stylized a custom brand mark that shows growth and is then applied to the major areas of the human knowledge. Fire, the internet, space … it’s all included in the human process of learning.
